This year, continuing the successful event of the recent years, we organize the voluta competition again, where rowers,canoeists, paddlers,dragon boat rowers, gondoliers meet and compete. The participants from Austria are going to arrive at the scene of the competition along the river Lajta, the participants from Slovakia along the Mosoni Danube. The main scene of the event takes place on the Óvár beach, at the small harbour of Óvár under the permission of the Watersport Association of Mosonmagyaróvár. The date of the competition is intentionally near the Midsummer's Day in honour of an ancient Nature-celebration.
The Voluta International Water Festival is an important part of the tourism of Mosonmagyaróvár. It realizes the unity of nature, team sport, music and human relationships. It is a kind of new-mentality civil initiative. By now, visitors of the programs are not only spectators, but participiants as well, who take part actively in the organization, sponsorship, competition and in the whole event. We follow the similar European programs with attention, especially the long distance rowing with a great history in Padova and in Venice (Vogalonga).

Statement - The captain takes responsibility for his/her crew and states that members of his/her crew are in a good state of health, can swim at least 50 metres in light sports gear and that everybody takes part in the competition of one's own responsibility. If the captain does not take responsibility for somebody, that person must sign this statement. The captain guarantees the reality of the data with his/her signature.
